Firmware update for Nokia 5233 (RM 625) to V40.1.003

Nokia released a new firmware update for the 5233 (RM 625) – version V40.1.003, which contains some performance enhancements and bug fixes.

The updates are currently available Over The Air (OTA) and via the Nokia Software Updater software.

Here are some of the changes to expect in these updates:

Issue fixed with creating a new profile, once the handset is factory reset

Auto update of sites is fixed

Music transfer from your computer to the device is fixed

Network reconnection issues solved

Battery consumption lowered when OVI Maps was in foreground and background

Although the Nokia 5233 has UDP (User Data Preservation), it’s recommended that you backup your data before you update your device with the new firmware.
